Similars #1

I was looking through my younger sister's new copy of People magazine (She had to have it because Kate from Jon & Kate Plus 8 was on the cover, she is obsessed with that show!) and I found something very odd...

Isn't that weird?!  The Abreva ad is exactly like the Shrinking Violet cover!

-Senfaye :)
P.S. This might be the only "Similars" post by the way.

  1. My sister showed me that ad - it's also in Vogue. Must be a stock picture.

  2. Except her crows'-feet have been Photoshopped out of the YA cover!

  3. That is so strange... It shows you what photo trickery can do. They both have the same exact hair cut, and their hands are in the same positions, but one has more wrinkles, they have different colored skin, and they have different colored eyes. Very interesting post...

I need to get that magazine...I love the show too. But I'm not obsessed...my sister is! :)

  7. I know!!!!!! I saw this a while ago, and I was like, OMG! IT'S THE SHRINKING VIOLET COVER! Except Abreva Girl looks so much older! It's funny how they use the same stock photo over and over again, huh? You think someone in he publishing industry would notice...(: LOL

  8. That's cool :)
I like the way that they re-use pictures. I just think "Hey, I've seen that somewhere before." Good job on spotting it ^_^

  9. I've seen this one before too! And if you look for it, I think there is an ad that is the same as the cover of TMI. I don't remember what it is for though.

  10. LMAO. Yeah, a lot of YA covers are from stock photo sites, unfortunately. =/

  12. It's a stock image I guess. I prefer the Shrinking Violet cover. Her face is flawless and smooth and so fair. xD
