Shiver

Title: Shiver Author: Maggie Stiefvater Publisher: Scholastic Number Of Pages: 392 Publication Date: August 1st,2009

Synopsis: The cold. Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—watches back. He feels deeply familiar to her, but she doesn’t know why.

The heat. Sam lives two lives. As a wolf, he keeps the silent company of the girl he loves. And then, for a short time each year, he is human, never daring to talk to Grace…until now.

The shiver. For Grace and Sam, love has always been kept at a distance. But once it’s spoken it cannot be denied. Sam must fight to stay human—and Grace must fight to keep him—even if it means taking on the scars of the past, the fragility of the present, and the impossibility of the future.

Review: I have to say, Shiver is one of the most amazing books I have ever read!!! It was lyrical, tantalizing, romantic, occasionally shocking, and overall fantastic. I cannot gush enough about its amazingness. It was one of the greatest romance novels I have ever read, along with a fast paced read. The characters seemed to jump off the page and the plot was exciting. I think that even reluctant readers will pick up this novel just because the synopsis is awesome and the cover is beautiful. So, far I think it is one of the best books of 2009!

I recommend this book if you like romance, werewolves, and YA novels.
