Yay, summer in Austin!

GOOD FOOD, GOOD TIMES.

Okay living with my sorority-brainwashed cousin, who willingly  goes by ”Party Penny,” I not exactly what I had in mind.

ALL YOUR FAVORITE BANDS

But the cute musicians I’ve met totally make up for it…like Sebastian. Swoon.

ALL AGES WELCOME

So  why can’t I stop thinking about  Penny’s friend All-American Russ and his Texas twang??

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, FROM NOON TO MIDNIGHT

Don’t wait up!

Review: Lovestruck Summer is super cute! The main character Quinn, is an indie rock music girl who thinks she should only hang out with people like her, but she is able to grow and change and I really like that about this book. Another thing I really enjoyed about this book is you would assume that say her cousin Penny’s best friend Chrissy is a clueless sorority girl but she is tough, so it shows that the book is not stereotypical at all. (Which for me gave it extra points!) Melissa Walker is able to combine a sappy romance, with witty humor, and great characters. I think I really need to read her other books.

I usually don’t read these type of books (I am more into paranormal and fantasy books, but I will try anything new!) but I found myself engrossed in Quinn’s summer. The characters had depth and personality and were just plain fun to read about. I probably would be friends with almost all the characters. I really hope there is a sequel. If you are looking for a light summer read this is it and there is a bonus to this it is only $5!!! I would highly suggest you go out and buy it!!!! All in all it was a really enjoyable read.

I recommend this book if you like romance, music, summer, and humor!
