Review: I am going to start off by saying WOW! I need the sequels! Aprilynne has created a world in which I want to live in. Her spin on faeries was fantastic and really made the book so much better. She made her faeries unique and amazing. Stephanie Meyer was right when she blurbed “Aprilynne Pike’s WINGS is a remarkable debut; the ingenuity of the mythology is matched only by the loveliness with which the story unfolds.” The story was absolutely remarkable, stunning, and very lovely. I actually wish that the main characters Laurel, David, and Tamani were my friends. Aprilynne was really worried that I wouldn’t like Wings, but it might just be one of my favorite books. My expectations were exceeded. I was able to finish this book so quickly because it was fast paced, exciting, and fun! I am so happy that this will be a four book series! I really think that Aprilynne has a best seller on her hands! Oh, and by the way Mrs. Pike is an amazing storyteller. All in all I really thoroughly enjoyed Wings, and I kind of feel like a fan girl.
I recommend Wings if you like faeries, romance, action, and YA novels.
